Hauling boats, updating boats and buckets full of old wiring

Hello, we are shifting into our busiest season yet. We have several projects going simultaneously including adding updated radar, chart-plotter and 3D structure scan to a client’s wheelhouse. The Simrad NSS2 EVO and Structure Scan are an amazing technology that we are excited to offer to our customers.

Most of the boats we are currently working on are hauled out for the season. We have been hauling buckets full of old wiring off several clients boats to bring them up to  safer, modern ABYC standards. We are upgrading some exterior lighting and adding some Bose products to a Nordhavn. Doug has been managing several larger systems over hauls for a vessel owner who is out of state for the winter. It has been a great way to meet the other local marine trade companies. Thank you to Northern Enterprises, Desperate Marine and Ashley at West Marine in Anchorage. A great resource has been the Homer Marine Trades Directory, there are some amazing companies in the Kachemak bay area.

Skiff’s, Bilge Pump’s and Autumn Across The Bay

Autumn has come, I saw termination dust yesterday up on the summit of Graduation Peak at 8am here in Seldovia.  We have been busy hauling boats and getting them ready for winter and for some boats, that means there is finally a break from fishing to get some much needed upgrades. We have been busy installing new bilge pump systems, new shore power connections and battery systems. The recent storm force forecast winds did not materialize too badly so we have been enjoying the great Fall weather to get some projects done. We took a weekend to volunteer up at the head of Tutka Bay to work on Kachemak Bay’s State Parks newest trail Tutka’s Backdoor. We had a great time and got to camp with an amazing view of Tutka bay. We look forward to seeing you on the water! Let us know if you need any assistance.
